Yes.  They were asked that in the press conference and said something like
"we are not telling you how we know that, but we had specific and credible
information ... "

Certainly.  Quick work to pick up an informent that quickly.
Alternatively, there may have been intercepted communication stored
somewhere which hadn't been analysized until after the incident.

But it is extremely plausible that the information came to light quickly,
but only after they knew where to look.
